I like the sin/rangers masks myself, in my opinion the shining blade costume should have had something like that instead of the hood. But I'm not really sure what they would implement that would have the "bandit mask"..and not look like everyother mask currently in the game.
sooo id have to say no go for the reasoning that we already have sins and rangers with masks and really, you can get the mo-zing mask or the norn woad for that bandit look..

You do realize he/she is talking about costumes, not armors right? Bad comparison.
Costume wise, they should implement Jade Brotherhood and Am Fah. The Am Fah wear the kind of bandit masks as well, and if you want a bandit mask as a costume mask, then an Am Fah costume would be perfect. I would like to see more costumes coming out for the other campaigns like the Jade Brotherhood, Am Fah, Crimson Skull, Corsairs, even the Vabbian outfits worn by the females that walk all around Korna.
But for a bandit mask, I would say a Am Fah costume would work well instead of changing an already made costume.

To be honest I really don't care about costumes, it'd be much better if they simply focused on you know, the actual game. Makeing it more fun an stuff. Just an idea.

Anet releasing existing class armor as costumes and charging for it? Sounds like something they would do actually.

Yes, thank you i do realise this. Regardless, my point was that a monk would look stupid in said armour, and to allow people to wear, say assassin armour (yes headgear is armour) would take away from the class

I hope that they create as many costumes as humanly possible and sell them for $10 each, that way you retarded- er- uh... "special" kiddies/players can blow all of your $$$ on it and look equally dumb- er- "alike" while in town.

I think you need a reality check. If you can understand the concept. Servers are not free, nor are employees. Lindsy has confirmed that the efforts of her team are supported by those that purchass customes, and other items. So, until you can see your way clear to fork up the few dollars to support the game, I think you should shut up, and enjoy the content that you don't pay for.
I and many others will continue to support ArenaNet as well as Lindsy in her efforts to bring us new content with the constraints of her budget and time. We will also continue to enjoy what new content we are provided. The fact that you are free to enjoy the new content too goes to show how generious ArenaNet is to all of thier customers, even ungrateful creatures like you.

Well then we should get rid of the hood that the Shining Blade have now, cause it looks like a Dervish Hood.
Point is, there isn't much in the way of content being released for GW1 except for WiK at the moment and little fancy things here and there. The costumes are fun items to enjoy and help support the game like KZaske said.
And I'm sure Anet has the resources to add fun vanity items to the game and more content at the same time. Just cause they make costumes or other vanity things, doesn't instantly mean that they cannot make new content as well.

That might be an interesting suggestion. Maybe if Anet wants to have another WIK with costumes, Am Fah and Jade brotherhood could work out.
OT, just buy the mask of mo zing

Oh yes, giving another profession look-a-likes that don't impact gameplay or give you advantages in any way really demeans your class. (/sarcasm)
Please tell me you are trolling...
I personally wouldn't mind more costumes that resemble NPC attire. Anet gets money to keep things running and I stay refreshed from the drab and mundane.
